(HARRISBURG) – Senator Dave Arnold (R-48) has been named to five Senate committees by Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-25).
Arnold, who was sworn into office this week, will serve on the Education, Finance, State Government, Game and Fisheries, and Intergovernmental Operations Committees.
“I am pleased to appoint Senator Arnold to serve on five Senate committees, all of which play an important role in shaping good policy,” Senator Scarnati said. “I am confident that his background and strong skillset will provide great perspective as we work together to strengthen our Commonwealth.”
Arnold said he is eager to hit the ground running and is particularly interested in finding ways to lower property taxes, improve the state’s education system and rein in government spending.
“I am delighted to serve on these committees because they will work to advance pieces of legislation that impact the lives of my constituents,” Senator Arnold said. “Serving on these committees will enable me to play a vital role in helping to address issues that are important to families, sportsmen and taxpayers throughout the 48th Senatorial District.”
