We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with the Lebanon County Commissioners, and support the resolution approved May 15, 2020, which resolves that Lebanon County will advance from the ‘Red Phase’ to the ‘Yellow Phase’ of Governor Wolf’s COVID-19 Phased Reopening Plan.
Lebanon County has experienced a rate of only 40.69 new cases per 100,000 residents from May 6 through May 12. As previously stated in our original letter, Lebanon County has flattened the curve of the COVID-19 outbreak and allowed hospitals the time to gear up for COVID-19 patients being admitted to the ICU and in need of ventilators.
We care deeply about our community, and the physical, social, and mental well-being of the constituents that reside within this Commonwealth. Our neighbors are family and friends. We have heard, and continue to hear, from thousands of our residents who desire the ability to safely re-open their businesses and safely return to work.
Again, we support the Lebanon County Commissioners actions and strongly agree it is time to safely move to the ‘Yellow Phase’.
Sincerely,
Senator, Dave Arnold State Representative, Russ Diamond
